Trevor Hall  Among The Oak & Ash
TREVOR HALL is originally from South Carolina and is most known for his song “Other Ways” which was featured in the Shrek III motion picture soundtrack. He has been writing and performing since his early teens and has released two independent recordings. Trevor combines a unique musical mix of reggae and acoustic rock that serves as a landscape for his thought-provoking, inspiring lyrics. His self-titled Vanguard debut was just released and embodies a soulfulness, depth and passion far beyond his 22 years. AMONG THE OAK AND ASH is the duo of Garrison Star and Josh Joplin. Individually, New York-based Joplin and Nashville-based Starr have built impressive careers, signing to major labels as teenagers and winning substantial critical acclaim while building loyal grass-roots fan bases. Joplin and Starr crossed paths on the road, instantly bonding over their shared experiences. The friendship resulted in the formation of Among the Oak & Ash the moniker taken from an old folk song of the same name. Their self titled debut CD released on Verve Forecast puts a modern spin on centuries-old Appalachian murder ballads and traditional folk songs while also adding original songs to the canon.
