WoodSongs comes to the Movies!

Fans can enjoy a hometown coffeehouse style concert performance by wonderful regional songwriters and bands followed by the big screen broadcast of WoodSongs. The events will happen on Wednesday nights in between the normal theatre movie schedule. WoodSongs in movie theatres is both a natural extension of the show’s outreach as well as a logical part of its “WoodSongs Coffeehouse” project establishing local performance venues with the spirit of the radio broadcast in hometowns across North America. For the same ticket, movie theatres will host a concert of brilliant regional songwriters and artists followed by the big screen showing of an episode of WoodSongs. The artists included for WoodSongs’ big-screen broadcast include Jakob Dylan, Blind Boys of Alabama, The Del McCoury Band, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, John McCutcheon, the Sparrow Quartet, Kathy Mattea, Tim O’Brien, Marie Knight, Dar Williams, Over the Rhine and many more.
